My work evolves from an exploration of non-traditional materials and processes merging the conceptual with the sensual. I have come to realize that sensation and thought do not arise in isolation from one another, but rather unfold in unison within and of the body as it engages the world. Thus, it is through a bodily, experiential exploration of the world that my art emerges. 

My materials and processes are chosen for their experiential significance.  Through these materials I seek to create a personal vocabulary and dialogue within and between the works. My process is primarily constructive in nature, involving physically and symbolically layering. In a sense, I am continually peeling back the layers of myself, while simultaneously adding additional layers.
